 | | The Committee welcomed representatives from the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) and the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) to its meeting held on 31 March. Rosalind Cheung, Assistant Commissioner for Innovation & Technology (Funding Schemes) of ITC was joined by her colleague, Alexander Leung, Senior Manager (Innovation and Technology Fund), gave an overview of the Government’s strategic priorities for developing Hong Kong into an International Innovation & Technology hub. The vision is primarily steered by the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Development Blueprint, a strategic roadmap structured eight major strategies under four broad development directions. Following the sharing session by ITC, Hubert Lau, Head (Programme Management) and Forrest Ngo, Manager (Technical Advisory) from HKPC introduced various funding programmes with a focus on the newly launched Pilot Manufacturing and Production Line Upgrade Support Scheme (Manufacturing+), providing members with crucial information on eligibility criteria and funding scope as well as procedural guidance for submitting applications.
