To seize emerging opportunities in the fast-growing world of cross-border e-commerce, the Chamber’s Small and Medium Enterprises Committee organised a delegation visit to Shenzhen on 29 April. Led by Committee Chairman Angela Lee, together with Vice Chairmen Vikky Tam, Simon Hui and Thomas Su, the mission brought 28 members to the heart of China’s digital trade hub – Shenzhen Longgang.
The programme offered delegates first-hand insights into the rapidly evolving digital trade landscape through visits to three leading e-commerce enterprises.
At ChuangMao Technology (Shenzhen) Group, members learned about the application of artificial intelligence in identifying and engaging global customers, highlighting how data-driven tools are reshaping international market outreach.
During the visit to Sailvan Times Technology, company management shared their strategies for global expansion and offered valuable perspectives on brand building, market positioning and operational scalability in overseas markets. The final stop at Aukey Technology, a nationally recognised e-commerce leader, provided practical insights into scaling operations and maintaining competitiveness in a rapidly evolving digital environment.
The programme also featured an exchange luncheon hosted by the Shenzhen Association of Trade in Services, where delegates connected with mainland business leaders across a range of sectors, including logistics, supply chain management, agriculture and manufacturing. The session facilitated meaningful dialogue and opened avenues for potential collaboration.
The mission underscored Shenzhen’s role as a dynamic hub for innovation and digital commerce, while reinforcing the importance of closer Hong Kong–Mainland collaboration. By fostering exchanges and sharing best practices, the Chamber remains committed to supporting SMEs in leveraging innovation, enhancing competitiveness and capturing opportunities in the global marketplace.
