What's On

Companies in the retail and tourism sectors can learn from how the event industry has successfully adopted the latest technologies to deliver impressive experiences for customers. Exhibitors have raised their game and top-notch tech can be seen at events ranging from Internet of Things video technology to AR and VR.

These IT advancements can be used not just at events and exhibitions but also across the retail and tourism sector for the same purpose: giving customers a unique on-site experience.

To learn more about using the latest technologies, the Chamber's Retail & Tourism Committee is pleased to have invited Dr Jacky Ting, Head of Innovation and Digital Transformation at Midas, to share his insights and experience. Ting has worked with major clients including Google, the Hong Kong Tourism Board and the Macau Grand Prix. Midas is the digital arm of Milton Exhibits Group. His presentation will cover:

-Digital and innovative technologies that are being used in APAC and global markets
-Opportunities, challenge and points to note when adopting such technologies in events or other businesses
-How to use technology to handle ad-hoc issues including suspension of events
