The Europe Committee will organize a Roundtable luncheon on Catalonia that we are honored to have the Minister of the Catalonia Government to share with us the business environment in Catalonia.

Catalonia is one of Europe's leading technology, R&D and ICT business ecosystems, the most trusted IoT hub in Europe and a magnet for innovative start-ups. But what incentives can Catalonia offer foreign startups and corporations? Opportunities arise in different industrial fields. Smart industry, smart cars, big data, robotics, cyber security, videogames or drones are all top performing sectors and get full support of the regional government. Start-ups are also fostered. With over 1,100 start-ups, Barcelona is one of the Europe's most dynamic start-up ecosystems, especially in the field of new technologies, which attracts VC and international investors. What can Hong Kong companies learn from Catalonia in raising their businesses to another level? Senior Catalonian officials and Hong Kong businesses with experience in the region, will share at this roundtable luncheon developments in Industry 4.0 ecosystems, start-ups in innovation and technology, and synergies between our two cities in technology among others.
