Chamber Chairman Dr Aron Harilela met with Dr Martin Wansleben, CEO of DIHK and representatives from German Chamber of Commerce on 14 October to discuss current issues in Hong Kong and future developments of the Greater Bay Area. Both sides remained confident about Hong Kong’s strengths as a business and financial hub for the region. Harilela stressed that Hong Kong’s advantages, including its common law system, fully convertible currency, free trade and investment policy, geographical position as well as being a super connector for businesses looking to enter Mainland China made it unique.
