Three Italian representatives -- Cristiana Pace, Country Manager for Advanced Markets and Belt and Road Projects at the Confederation of Italian Industries; Chiara Gargano, International Relations Manager of the Ministry of Economic Development; and Raul Mora, Representative of SACE, the Italian Export Credit Agency -- visited the Chamber on 29 May. They were received by Europe Committee Chairman Jennifer Chan, Vice Chairman Davide de Rosa and members. With Italy being the first G7 member to sign up to the Belt and Road, the representatives discussed the roles of Hong Kong and Italy in the initiative and potential collaboration opportunities. The visitors stressed the need for project transparency in order to make Belt and Road projects more appealing to international companies to participate in joint ventures.
