“Demand for virtual events will likely remain strong for the foreseeable future even after we have put the pandemic behind us,” said Jacky Ting, Head of Innovation and Digital Transformation at Midas, a division of Milton Exhibits Group. “These will mostly take the form of hybrid type events, which can better serve and connect with users going forward.”

Ting was speaking at a Chamber webinar on 29 October, where he discussed the rise of virtual events since the Covid-19 pandemic, and the benefits that they can bring to event organizers and clients.

“Virtual events offer unparalleled advantages both in terms of cost savings and geographical reach, and these type of events have been seen a marked increase since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic,” he said. Ting also shared some tips with members on how to organize successful virtual events, ranging from choosing the right technical partner to attracting participants.
