Four prominent women leaders in the arts and culture sector in Hong Kong gathered at the Chamber to share their experience of working in the arts world at a virtual seminar on 27 August. This event was part of the joint campaign between the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Hong Kong and HKGCC, in support of the HeForShe initiative.

Members had the opportunity to hear insights from Alison Friedman of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, Tisa Ho of the Hong Kong Arts Festival, Connie Lam of the Hong Kong Arts Centre, and Sheryl Lee of the Haw Par Music Foundation, during a panel discussion moderated by WEC Chairman Nikki Ng.

They discussed an array of topics, including the impact of Covid-19 on the arts scene, how to better support local artists in these challenging times, new strategies and practices to create opportunities in the industry, as well as the value the arts have brought to transforming Hong Kong into a renowned cultural hub in Asia.
