Digital Transformation in China: WeChat Business Challenges and Opportunities
Thomas Meyer, CEO and Co-founder of Mobile Now Group, told members at a roundtable luncheon on 7 May that more than US$400 billion worth of goods will be sold through social media e-commerce platforms in Mainland China by 2022. Meyer shared his insights into the latest developments in e-commerce, and also discussed some of the success stories in the Mainland market. For example, in only seven years, WeChat has become a key player on the global tech scene and has the largest community of users and consumers in Asia.
