We had an interesting meeting on 6 November with Alireza Esmaeilzadeh, who took up the post of Consul General of Iran in Hong Kong and Macao in June 2020. The Consul General, accompanied by Reza Esmkhani, Consul on Economic and Political Affairs, outlined a range of opportunities for promoting Iranian products, trade and culture exchanges with Hong Kong. The Chamber’s CEO George Leung and Director for PR & Programs Malcolm Ainsworth welcomed the visitors and shared their views and also memories of the Chamber’s extremely successful business mission to Iran in 2016.
