The Chamber visited the new campus of the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) in Chai Wan on 29 October. Ir Dr Lawrence Chan, Executive Vice President of THEi, shared with members an overview of THEi development and its emphasis on training work-ready graduates to join the workforce through vocational education. Members had the opportunity of exploring the new training facilities, including the multi-material 3D printers for production of prototypes, the urban forestry research tools for tree health assessment, and the computerised knitting machine converting digital designs into knitted garments, amongst other things.
