- Fellowship applications are now being accepted from
members of the academia who wish to participate in the World Services Congress 2001.
Fellowships are open to applicants from developing countries who wish to present papers on
different topics related to services trade sector, globalization, the new economy, and
their effects on developing economies. The amount of the award is US $1,000 to help cover
the costs involved in participating in the Congress: transportation, lodging, daily
stipend, registration fees and other miscellaneous expenses. More details>>>>

The Minister of State
Development Planning Commission of the People's Republic of China, Mr Zeng Peiyan has
agreed to be Honorary Patron of the World Services Congress 2001. |
- Following the recommedations
from participants, the Academic Forums assoicated with the World Services Congress 2001 is
re-scheduled from 21 Septmeber to 19 September afternoon, so as to encourage the level of
participation for academics.

Participation fee for the WSC is:
- Registration fee for delegate - US$450 (or HK$3,510), including admission to the
Conference, Congress Luncheons and social functions (Cocktail Reception and Congress
Dinner).
- Accompanying Person - US$200 (or HK$1,560) including one-day Hong Kong Tour and
social functions (Cocktail Reception and Congress Dinner)
