I would like to invite you to join me in the World Services Congress 2001, the most
important gathering on the service industries to be held in Hong Kong in September 2001.
The WSC 2001 will provide an occasion for high level business people, officials,
decision makers, regulators, negotiators and academics from around the world to address
the most important issues of our times, such as the impact of Globalization, the
development of the "new economy", and the enormous business opportunities
arising from China's entry into the WTO.
A fully business-oriented event, the Congress aims to enable participants to gain access
to new markets and to harness the strength of the "new economy". It will also
help influence the WTO negotiations ahead of its next Ministerial Conference. It is an
occasion you will not want to miss.
The WSC 2001 is a joint effort between leading Organizations of the private and
public sectors of Hong Kong. We are determined to present the best program, to the best of
our efforts, for a most successful Congress.
