Services

The Chamber is able to offer a quick, efficient and up-to-date mailing service to those who wish to contact closely defined groups of Hong Kong traders, manufacturers or services companies. We have about 4,000 members and you may choose from these according to your needs.

* The Chamber is a non-profit making organization, so the cost will be as reasonable as you are likely to find in Hong Kong: not more than the direct costs you would incur if you were doing your own mailing, in fact.

* All our records are regularly amended and while we cannot guarantee that we are abreast of every change affecting as many as 4,000 companies, our records are updated continuously.

* Our service is exceptionally fast and flexible. For a custom-made deal, we can probably have your material posted within 4 days, or possibly less (but see ** on the next page).

* Member companies of the Chamber will enjoy lower charges. In this instance, members include non-profit making associations, Consulates, Trade Commissions, Government Departments and charitable institutions.

The following are the services we offer:

1) COMPUTER LABEL MAILINGS DIRECT TO NAMED INDIVIDUALS OF SELECTED INDUSTRY OR SECTOR

We possess detailed computerized data on our 4,000 member companies. This includes details of industry or sector; names of CEOs or contact executives; approximate value of turnover in past year; number of employees; size in terms of capital invested, etc.

You can mail to all these companies, with a label addressed to a specific individual, who will usually be the Senior Full Time Executive Officer. If your requirements are more specific, we can advise, in advance, the total number of companies in our database who meet the specification (such as importers/exporters/manufacturers, by product, annual turnover, number of employees, etc.) you require and you can then decide whether you wish to proceed. There is no charge until you place an order. However, no service will be rendered before payment is received in advance of the mailing.

Cost

The charge for mailing is HK$3.50 per name mailed (HK$2.50 for members) plus the direct costs involved (e.g. postage, stationery, etc.). Direct costs will, of course, vary according to the nature of the material mailed and whether or not you supply your own envelopes.

2) MAILINGS TO ALL MEMBER COMPANIES TOGETHER WITH THE CHAMBER'S MONTHLY BULLETIN

This service has to be sent to all members as this list cannot be broken down by sector.

Nonetheless, using this mailing service, you will be contacting a completely representative cross section of economically active companies.

** Your material is dispatched together with the Chamber's Bulletin. Dispatch date is around the middle to end of each month.

Cost

The charge for this service is HK$2.00 per company mailed (HK$1.50 for members) plus any direct costs, such as additional postage, pricing details of which are listed in table 1 below.

The Chamber regrets that it is not able to offer a production service in connection with any of these mailings. The customer is expected to supply his own material for mailing, except for envelopes where he may opt to use a standard blank envelope supplied by the Chamber or one of his own supply.

Finally, there is another way you may make contact with Chamber members.

By advertising in our monthly colour magazine THE BULLETIN. The Bulletin is an ideal vehicle for advertisers wishing to target Hong Kong's corporate elite. Each month, the magazine has a print run in excess of 8,000, circulates to the 4,000 plus corporate members of the Chamber and to other local and international business groups, selected hotels and airlines.
