Each member learned about the special techniques for perfect chocolate and made their own heart-shaped chocolate box toppled with roses and St. Domingue chocolate ganache.   View Photos Event Date: 2010/02/11 Cheers Asia & Africa! The Chamber's Asia-Africa Committee hosted a cocktail reception on January 20 under the banner 'Cultural Extravaganza' for Consuls General of Australia, Indonesia, Japan and South Africa. Specialty foods, traditional snacks, wines and art from the respective countries were featured at the event. Chairman of the Chamber's Europe Committee Serge G. Fafalen hosted a Cultural Extravaganza cum Cocktail Reception for Consuls General from Britain, Denmark, Finland, Germany, The Netherlands, and Sweden on December 8 at Central Pier 7. Over 500 members registered for the event to celebrate the festive season and to meet both old and new faces at the Chamber. Members later chatted with the two speakers and other members of the Harilela business empire at a cocktail reception.   View Photos Event Date: 2009/11/23 Good Citizen Award Forty citizens who helped the police fight crime were commended at the Good Citizen Award Presentation Ceremony on November 12. Two of the awardees received the Good Citizen of the Year Award. With their help, more than 40 people were arrested for a variety of offences including murder, robbery, burglary, theft, indecent assault, deception and arson. The Chamber has been the sole sponsor of the award since its inception in 1973.    View Photos Event Date: 2009/11/12 Kanpai Sake Chamber members were turning Japanese for Happy Hour on November 5, as this month's cocktail took place at the Japanese restaurant Roka.
