THE INDUSTRY AND TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE
To study and advise the General Committee and
Directorate on issues, reports and legislation, including draft legislation, having a
bearing on industry and the impact of technology on industry.
- The Committee is open to any corporate member of the Chamber who
wishes to join.
- Chamber individual associate members may apply as observers to the
Committee.
- Members should observe the “Guidelines for HKGCC Committees”.
- To study and advise the Chamber on the following issues:

Ø Labor and
training |
| Ø Synergy with the
mainland |
Ø Productivity |
| Ø Costs and
inventory control |

Ø Industrial land
policy |
| Ø Manufacturing
services |
Ø Institutional
structure for industry support |
and such other subjects as may
arise from time to time.
- To monitor and encourage development of higher value added industries
in Hong Kong, and to assess how the development and application of technology can increase
value for industries.
- To initiate studies, seminars or any other activities on issues
related to technology and Hong Kong industry.
- To liaise as necessary with other Committees of the Chamber and with
non-Chamber organizations, including the Hong Kong SAR Government, both locally and
internationally.
- To carry out any other related work at the request of the General
Committee or Directorate.
