THE HKCSI TRAVEL/TOURISM COMMITTEE
TERMS OF REFERENCE
1) Mission
- Under the umbrella of the HKCSI, to act as the think tank for the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce on policy issues related to the travel/tourism sectors of Hong Kong.
2) Membership
- Membership is open to HKCSI/Chamber corporate members in the travel/ tourism sectors.
- Chamber individual associate members who wish to apply as observers to the Committee should belong to a company in the travel/tourism sectors.
- Committee membership is subject to agreement by the committee chairman and the Chamber CEO.
- Members should observe the "Guidelines for HKGCC Committees".
3) Objectives
- To monitor the multilateral trade negotiations of the WTO in relation to the trading of travel/tourism services.
- To consider and formulate positions on such other issues as the Committee thinks fit, or as directed by the Chamber, in connection with the development and welfare of the travel/tourism service industries of Hong Kong.
