本會非常榮幸邀請到首位出任國內銀行行長的香港銀行家王浵世先生出席『與作者對談』午餐會，與會員分享他20多年內在國內的豐富工作經驗。 王浵世先生在?豐銀行工作32年，於1997年開始擔任?豐中國業務總裁，主導?豐在內地業務的開拓與發展。2000年5月，他率領?豐中國業務總部從香港遷至上海浦東，成立"?豐駐中國總代表處"，並兼任總代表。他在擔任?豐中國業務總裁的5年多期間，?豐在中國的業務發展很快，在他離開中國時，?豐在內地已經開設了9家分行，並且成為了上海銀行的戰略投資者，與平安保險達成了參股意向。 2006年獲邀成為國內第一家民營股份制銀行民生銀行總行行長。 王先生將於午餐會上把他在國內所見所聞以及香港文化的差異，與會員介紹及說明，並解讀一些香港人不太明白的國內特有現象；同時，提供會員一些在國內管理的具體建議，避免錯走彎路。

The HKSAR Government has published a consultation document on how the elections for the Chief Executive and Legco can be arranged. To facilitate discussion in the business community, the Chamber organized a special forum on February 2 at which Henry Tang, Chief Secretary for Administration, Stephen Lam, Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, and Rita Lau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, exchanged views with members.

The global financial crisis caused economies around the world to suffer a sharp contraction and fall into recession. China, however, was the contradiction to the rule, registering 8% growth as a result of stimulus packages. At the Chamber’s February 1 roundtable luncheon, Dr Tao Li, Chief Research Officer, One Country Two Systems Research Institute Limited, shared with members his analysis on China’s stimulus measures and its economic outlook.
