University Students
Innovative Business Contest calls for entries
The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce,
together with the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Baptist University, the
Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the University of Hong Kong, launched the
"University Students Innovative Business Contest" and called on university students to actively participate in the
Contest.
To promote excellence in the service
industries, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce launched the Hong Kong Awards for
Services in 1997, which has remained the "Oscars" of the service industries. Since the Awards' inception the Chamber has been the leading organiser of the
"Innovation" category
of the Hong Kong Awards for Services.
Dr Eden Woon, CEO of the Chamber said,
"For Hong Kong to continue to succeed, the success attributes of creativity, speed
and quality have to be promoted not only among the practising business sectors but,
equally importantly, to our younger generation. The Chamber is therefore organising a
junior category of the HKGCC Innovative Service Award among students." The Contest is supported by the Business and
Services Promotion Unit of the HKSAR Government.
Applicants are requested to submit a
2000-word business proposal on assigned topics. Outstanding students will be invited to

with a certificate and they will have opportunities to network with business leaders. The
