"As the Buddha's Birthday in 2002 falls on a Sunday, the day following will be designated as an additional general holiday. Also, as the day following Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival falls on a Sunday, the day of the festival will be designated as an additional holiday," a Government spokesman said.
