Company Background

Founded in 1966 as the Association of Hong Kong Air Freight Forwarding Agents (AHAFA), the Hongkong Association of Freight Forwarding and Logistics Limited (HAFFA) is a non-profit making organization which promotes, protects and develops the carriage of goods (by different modes of transport), and the businesses of cargo forwarding agents, cargo forwarders and logistics service providers in particular. Representing many sectors of the freight logistics industry, HAFFA membership consists of both local and international companies of all sizes. Now with about 320 corporate members, which handle a significant percentage of air freight, sea freight and contract logistics in Hong Kong, HAFFA acts as an authoritative voice for the industry.

Business Activities

HAFFA is involved with coordinating, lobbying and liaising with the Government of the Hong Kong SAR as well as other industry authorities and local operators. HAFFA is responsible for setting business best practices, providing educational courses, and industrial development programs which strengthen the professional levels of freight forwarders and logistics service providers in Hong Kong. Facilitating international trade has been the driving force of HAFFA’s development. The Association represents its members’ interest at meetings of the Federation of Asia Pacific Aircargo Associations (FAPAA), the International Air Transport Association (IATA), and the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), ensuring Hong Kong’s voice is heard at international industry conferences.
