Cally Chan, General Manager of Microsoft Hong Kong and Macau, shared her career journey as an executive at one of the world’s leading tech firms with members at a virtual seminar on 7 August. She also discussed how Microsoft has been using innovative technologies to empower Hong Kong.

In a conversation with Anna Yip, Executive Director and CEO of SmarTone, Chan introduced the various ways in which Microsoft Hong Kong has been using its resources to help the local community to combat Covid-19, from rolling out free e-learning software for schools to developing applications to streamline online ordering and delivery for restaurants. Chan also explained Microsoft’s strategies to encourage diversity and inclusion in the office, and gave some practical advice to women who want to succeed in the tech industry.
