The ability to leverage on synergistic relationships with nearby markets will determine the pace of Hong Kong’s smart city development, according to Alan Yau, Head of Real Estate and Partner, KPMG China. Speaking at a webinar on 11 June, Yau shared the findings from a recent survey entitled “Future Hong Kong 2030.” He was then joined by Eric Chan, Chief Public Mission Officer of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company, and Keith Cheng, Head of Digital Hub at Siemens, for a panel discussion on ways to capitalize on Hong Kong’s geographical advantages to foster smart city development through regional collaborations with ASEAN and the Greater Bay Area.
