K S Wong, Secretary for the Environment introduced the framework and implementation plan of the forthcoming charging scheme for municipal solid waste at a forum held on 13 March. He was joined by Mike Kilburn, Acting General Manager- Sustainability of Airport Authority, William Lin, Director- Environmental Management of Business Environment Council, Cary Chan, Executive Director of Hong Kong Green Building Council, Benson Pau, CEO of Wings Trading (HK) Co Ltd and William Yu, CEO of World Green Organisation, who shared with members the best practices of business in waste management and their views on the proposed charging mechanism.
