Capturing 5G Business Opportunities
5G or "fifth generation" wireless technology can enable faster and greater data transmission over the Internet. Daniel Chung, Chief Technology Officer of 3 Hong Kong and Louis Lau, Senior Business Consultant of NEC Hong Kong spoke about the development of 5G in Hong Kong and other jurisdictions, its benefits, applications and usage at a Chamber roundtable on 26 June. Because of its high speed, low latency and enhanced capacity, it will enable more sophisticated services and applications to be used over the wireless network, facilitate future development of IoT and Smart City, and bring about new business opportunities for Hong Kong.
