What to Expect Now that BEPS is Up and Running?
Petrina Chang, Tax Director from Deloitte China, provided an update on the latest developments with the OECD’s global programme to address Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) at a Chamber roundtable luncheon on 11 July. Members were briefed on the details with and implications of the BEPS 15-point action plan, as well as the development of Transfer Pricing enforcement in Hong Kong and its major trading partners. Chang also provided an illustrative example of the challenges faced by MNCs operating in Hong Kong under an increasingly stringent taxation regulatory environment.
